20 Oct First Word: A Vibrant New Play Reading Event at Caffe Fantastico

We’re announcing First Word, a fresh addition to the Between Words series you know and love.

This new event is a celebration of new voices and emerging playwrights here in Victoria, where fledgling plays can take their first breath in an evening of live readings. We want to offer a unique chance to witness the creative process in action. We’re talking brand new scripts performed by local artists, with no sets or costumes, just the power of words bringing stories to life.

Oh, and a new location too! We’re beyond excited to host this event in collaboration with our friends at Caffe Fantastico.

The plan is to present a varied lineup of unproduced scripts, brought to life by a mix-and-match cast of professional and emerging local actors and directors. 

So come out and meet new faces in Victoria’s vibrant arts scene! Grab your pay-what-you-can ticket, sip some fantastic coffee, and take part in the moment where a writer’s imagination meets its first performance. We can’t wait to see you at Caffe Fantastico for First Word!
