It takes eight minutes for sunlight to reach Earth, and when the sun dies, the world has eight minutes of light left before the cold darkness sets in. In these last fleeting moments, three people grapple with the reality of their situation: a gardener ponders the meaning of their life while deciding the fate of a sunflower, a doomsday evangelist searches for an estranged family member during a sudden crisis of faith, and a radio host mans a hotline for lonely people facing the end of the world. Loosely intertwining with each other, these three solo performer, eight minute vignettes explore loneliness, connection, regret, and acceptance through the lens of an apocalyptic event.
