After fleeing war-torn Albania, childhood friends Mirela and Lena find refuge at a secluded, Orthodox convent deep in the forests of Thebes. The play will follow the sisters of Saint Euphrosynos as they prepare for the Great Lent, a holy month of fasting and pious study. As the sisters enter their fast, Lena tries to temper her sudden cravings for earthly pleasures.
